Nobody is perfect

After completing our first 9 weeks, it brings us to a great point in our school year to sit back and reflect on how things are going so far. My take away for myself is just like most of you... there were some good, some bad, and some ugly. Not only is it a time for teachers to reflect but it also gives us an opportunity to teach the children that nobody is perfect and everyone makes mistakes. Sharing with students the mistakes you have made can make a huge impact on them giving the ability to understand that they can make mistakes and learn from them. If you have not done so I would have a talk with your kids about mistakes made in the 1st part of the year and how we can make different decisions on the next go round. Who knows, some students might actually make a change. Go ahead and share your thoughts!
